How to cite a book or chapter
A whole-book citation and a chapter citation describe different sources.
Whole books
Choose Book and enter the author, book title, publisher and year. Include a later edition when applicable.
Chapters
Choose Book chapter. Enter the chapter author and title, then the book title, editors, publisher and chapter page range. Chapter authors and editors may be different people.
Quoted pages
Use Passage location for the passage you used. For an ebook without stable page numbers, choose Chapter or Section under Passage location. For book lookup, enter the ISBN printed on your exact edition and review the returned metadata.
