Source details stay in your browser

Citations, annotations, draft details and formatting preferences are stored using this browser’s local storage. Formatting and file downloads run on your device. There is no account or bibliography upload system.

Optional source lookup

When you select Find source, a DOI is sent directly to Crossref, or an ISBN is sent directly to Open Library. The selected service receives the identifier and ordinary connection information, such as your IP address. See Crossref’s privacy policy and the Internet Archive policies for Open Library.

Website requests

Visiting the website sends normal requests to the hosting service. Hosting and network services may keep operational logs, including request addresses, times and IP addresses. This application includes no advertising or third-party analytics scripts.

Keeping or removing your work

Download a backup to keep a portable copy. Clear this site’s browser data to remove saved work on this device. Private browsing and browser storage limits can prevent persistence. Downloaded files remain wherever you saved them.
