How to cite a journal article
A journal citation should identify both the individual article and the journal issue that contains it.
Gather the details
Enter article title, authors, publication year, journal name, volume, issue and page range or article number. Preserve the published author order.
DOI lookup
A DOI can retrieve metadata from Crossref. Lookups are optional and may return incomplete information. Review every imported field before saving. Some DOI registrations are outside Crossref and will not resolve here.
Page ranges and quotations
Use Source page range for the article’s complete pages or article identifier. Use Passage location for the specific passage you cite.
